Refund Policy

 

At CHS Lake Service, we strive to ensure that your experience with us is enjoyable and hassle-free. Please review our refund policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities regarding cancellations and refunds.

1. Weather-Related Cancellations

  • CHS Lake Service reserves the right to cancel a boat rental or charter due to inclement weather or dangerous conditions (e.g., thunderstorms, high winds, fog). In such cases:
     
    • Full Refund: A full refund will be issued if we cancel the rental or charter before departure.
       
    • Rescheduling Option: If you prefer, we can offer the option to reschedule your charter or rental for a later date, based on availability.
       

2. Customer Cancellations

  • We understand that plans can change, and we offer flexible options for cancellations.
     
  • More than 48 Hours Before Scheduled Rental/Charter:
     
    • You are entitled to a full refund if you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours before the scheduled time of departure.
       
  • Less than 48 Hours Before Scheduled Rental/Charter:
     
    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
       
    • No refund will be issued if the customer fails to show up or if the rental/charter is canceled after departure.
       

3. Late Arrivals or No Shows

  • If you arrive late for your scheduled charter or rental, the charter may be shortened to ensure that the vessel is returned on time.
     
  • No shows will not be eligible for a refund, and the full rental fee will be charged.
     

4. Refunds for Equipment or Service Issues

  • Service Issues: While we do not offer refunds for service-related issues (e.g., staffing, minor disruptions), we will ensure that any lost time due to these issues is fully compensated. This can include offering additional time on your charter or rescheduling.
     
  • Equipment Issues: If you experience any equipment issues during your rental or charter, please notify our staff immediately. We will make every effort to resolve the issue or offer a suitable replacement. If the issue cannot be resolved, we offer the lost time to be rescheduled rather than a direct refund.
     
  • Rescheduling: If any time was lost due to equipment or service issues, we can reschedule the lost portion of your rental or charter for another date, based on availability.
     

5. Payment and Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
     
  • In the case of rescheduling, any payments made will be applied to the new charter or rental date.
     

6. Special Circumstances

  • In rare cases, refunds may be offered due to personal or unforeseen circumstances, such as medical emergencies. These requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require appropriate documentation.
